Bantu Safe Haven’s mission is to foster safety, community, and self determination for Black trans people. The cornerstone of our work is keeping Black trans folks safe by providing the necessary tools including safety items, self defense trainings and supporting their material needs. We envision our mutual aid program giving black trans people freedom and autonomy to meet their material needs. Our goal is to deliver $250 rapid response grants as unpoliced funds to our community. We trust Black trans people to know our own needs and are committed to supporting in the ways our community deems necessary.
Subscribe to our Patreon to support Black Trans people in Philly by paying monthly reparations. All funds generated in our reparations redistribution program, will be directly given to Black Trans people to support themselves how they see fit. Reparations are a vital part in dismantling all systems of oppression, and we at BSH believe that the act of giving reparations is necessary and introspective spiritual work for both white and/or cis patrons and the Black trans people receiving them.
